This is the basic idea of using a sound device to stop dog whining. Maybe you are not too sure what kind of device to purchase. Or maybe you are afraid that this device is going to hurt your dog. Or maybe you just don’t like this idea of irritating your dog in this manner.

2) Training With Consistency
As mentioned above, another method to stop dog whining is to be there when your dog begin to whine. Once it starts whining, just make a loud noise and say no. Never hit the dog. You should never ever consider any form of violence regardless of what problem behaviors it is displaying.
There are always better ways to stop dog whining other than hitting the dog. You can simply use a newspaper and slap it against your hand or simply clap your hands together to make your pet stop any undesirable behavior you don’t want it to display.
Dogs have sensitive ears, which explain why the device mentioned above can work very well. Although a newspaper that is slapped against your palm is probably not going to bother you, the dog dos feel disturbed about it.
Every time the dog starts whining, do it. Do it often and consistently. With consistency, very soon, you dog will stop whining.
